Local Development to Receive €50 Million Grant! Applications Starting in June

A total of 50 million euros in grants will be provided for local development under the IPARD III Program. Applications for the program will begin in June. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı announced the publication of the 6th Call for Proposals of the IPARD III Program, which will provide a total of 50 million euros in grants to local action groups in all 81 provinces, covered by 100% grant funding. Yumaklı shared information about the call on his social media account. He emphasized that they continue to support innovative solutions to mobilize local potential, especially rural women and youths. Through local action groups formed by a variety of actors ranging from farmers to civil society organizations to women and youths, strategies are developed and implemented for the development of regions. Yumaklı highlighted the strengthening of local communities in rural areas through the LEADER approach, stating that a total of 328 million Turkish Liras in grant support has been provided to local action groups under the IPARD Program so far. Minister Yumaklı stated, “As of today, with the 6th Call for Proposals for the Implementation of Local Development Strategies-LEADER Approach, we will provide a total of 50 million euros in support, covered by 100% grants. Good luck.” APPLICATIONS START IN JUNE Yumaklı’s shared information included details about the applications. According to this, the call covers the period of the IPARD Program 2021-2027. Applications for the call will start being accepted from 2 June, starting at 09:00, at the provincial coordination offices and provincial contact offices of the Agricultural and Rural Development Support Institution where the project will be implemented. The Online Project Application System will close on 25 June at 18:00. The deadline for applications has been set as 27 June at 18:00.
