Lantern fish caught in a net: 500 liras per kilo

A lantern fish was caught in the nets of fishermen in the Black Sea. The fish is being sold for 500 liras per kilogram. Rarely seen in the Black Sea, a lantern fish got caught in the nets of fishermen who set out to sea in Ordu. The fish, weighing approximately 6.5 kilograms, was captured by fishermen with their boats and put up for sale at 500 liras per kilogram by a fisherman in the Perşembe district. Fisherman Özay Çakır mentioned that this type of fish is usually caught in the Mediterranean and Aegean seas, making its appearance in the Black Sea rare. Çakır expressed that they assume the fish came from the Marmara Sea to the Black Sea, and noted that customers have shown interest in the fish he has on sale. Stating that he is selling the fish for 500 liras per kilogram, Çakır added that he will sell the whole fish for 3,250 liras to those who want to purchase it in its entirety.
