The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) will provide a 2,000 lira Ramadan voucher to those in need during the holy month. In order to support individuals in need and spread the spirit of Ramadan throughout the city, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) has prepared a comprehensive program for the holy month. According to the announcement from the IBB, support will be given to those in need during Ramadan, and various events will be organized in the city. During Ramadan, 100,000 households will receive a 2,000 lira Ramadan voucher, 217,000 people will be served hot meals in iftar tents, 58,000 iftar meals will be provided at city restaurants, and 2,000 sahur packages will be distributed daily to healthcare workers in hospital emergency departments and their family members. Additionally, during Ramadan, 200,000 Istanbul residents will continue to receive 1,500 lira deposited into their accounts each month, while 615,000 free loaves of bread will be provided through Halk Ekmek to needy retirees and families living on minimum wage. Furthermore, the IBB will organize concerts, theaters, film screenings, and special events throughout the city during Ramadan.
