An investigation has been initiated into individuals who spread purposeful and misleading news causing unusual price and volume movements in the stock market of Borsa Istanbul. The Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office acted upon reports of extraordinary price movements in the Borsa Istanbul stock market in recent times. In this context, the Prosecutor’s Office has automatically launched an investigation into those who disseminate purposeful and misleading news causing unusual price and volume movements. It was reported that the investigation will proceed with the examination and reporting processes to be conducted by the Capital Markets Board (SPK).
