The site aims to support users in making economical purchases by providing price lists that are updated on a weekly basis.Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, in a statement made via the social media platform X, shared the link of the http://marketfiyati.org.tr website, stating, “We have opened up the internet site, which is a result of the study conducted by TÜBİTAK for the research of the Central Bank and other relevant public institutions, for the benefit and access of all our citizens. In this way, everyone will be able to see the prices of nearly 50,000 products in chain supermarket branches and compare them. Congratulations!”Within the project carried out in collaboration with the Central Bank, data from 7 chain supermarkets were transferred to TÜBİTAK BİLGEM systems. The sharing of price information includes A101, BİM, CarrefourSA, HAKMAR, MİGROS, Turkish Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, and ŞOK supermarkets.TÜBİTAK BİLGEM applied various methods and developed algorithms to clean up outlier values and improve data quality on the incoming data. The cleaned data is shared through the CimriMarkette and MarketTamam applications, which publish them in real-time.
