Special discount for families on inter-city buses has been introduced. With the new regulation, bus companies can offer discounts up to 40% on ticket prices for families.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they have opened the way for applying special discounts to families on inter-city bus travels within the 2025 Family Year.

DISCOUNTS UP TO 40% POSSIBLE

Uraloğlu said, “According to the Road Transport Regulation, bus companies providing ticketed inter-city passenger transportation can offer discounts up to 30% based on the fare tariffs they report to our ministry. With the new regulation, bus companies can now offer discounts up to 40% on ticket prices for families.”

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THE DISCOUNTS? With the new regulation, when at least 2 and up to 4 people want to travel on the same bus and route with tickets, if they prove that they are family, they can benefit from the discounts. In order to benefit from the discount, it will be sufficient for the passengers to have the same surname or to prove that they are family with a document in accordance with the relevant legislation. NOT MANDATORY

Uraloğlu stated that the regulation will not be mandatory for companies.

The new regulation can be implemented starting from Monday, March 17th.
