Inflation in Argentina Reaches Four-Year Low

The battle against triple-digit inflation in Argentina has come to an end as inflation has reached its lowest level in four years. Since President Javier Milei took office, inflation in Argentina has dropped to its lowest level. The annual consumer inflation rate has fallen below 100% for the first time in two years. Monthly inflation in the South American country reached its lowest level since mid-2020, dropping to 2.2% in January. The annual inflation rate also decreased to 84.5%. This development is considered a significant economic achievement for President Milei, who began implementing strict austerity measures over a year ago. Milei continues to negotiate with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a new agreement.
