Inflation Below Expectations in the Eurozone

In February, annual inflation in the Eurozone increased by 2.3%, falling below expectations. Consumer prices in the Eurozone rose by 2.3% compared to the previous year in February, below what economists had forecasted. According to data from Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office, inflation in February increased by 0.4% from the previous month. Excluding energy and unprocessed food prices, core inflation in the Eurozone rose by 2.6% compared to the previous year, in line with expectations. Core inflation increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month.
