This year, the Ramadan Eid coincides with the mid-term break for schools. This situation has increased demand for bus tickets. Industry officials are expecting 3.5 million people to travel by bus.

Mustafa Yıldırım, the General President of the Federation of All Bus Operators, stated that due to the Ramadan Eid coinciding with the mid-term break of schools, the bus services will become active as of March 27th. Yıldırım said, “During the Ramadan Eid holiday, approximately 8,500 buses will carry passengers daily. We expect around 3.5 million people to travel by buses.” Also serving as the Chairman of the Sector Council for Road Passenger Transportation of TOBB, Mustafa Yıldırım provided information about bus services. Pointing out that this year’s mid-term break for the academic year 2024-2025 coincides with the Ramadan Eid, covering a period of 9 days, Yıldırım stated, “Starting from the middle of this week, there will be a density in bus services due to the Ramadan Eid holiday. Tickets are almost sold out for regular services.

The activity on buses, starting on March 27th due to the Ramadan Eid holiday, will also be witnessed on the return journey on April 6-7.

If there is a demand from bus companies, we will apply to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure to use tourism vehicles for passenger transport.”
