Increase in Marriage Loan Applications after “If you love, get married” Sharing

Within a year, 56,256 couples applied for a marriage loan. The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced an increase in marriage loan applications after the “If you love, get married” sharing on February 14th. The first applications to the Family and Youth Fund were started to be received from couples affected by earthquakes as of February 15, 2024. Under this fund, couples are provided with interest-free loan support of 150,000 Turkish Lira with a 48-month term and 2-year grace period for repayment. According to a statement from the Ministry of Family and Social Services, there was an increase in applications after the “If you love, get married” sharing was made on the ministry’s social media account on February 14th. Meanwhile, Minister Goktas congratulated the earthquake-affected couple who used the loan from the fund and welcomed their first baby.
