Increase in Fund Deduction for Table Egg Exports

The fund deduction applied to table egg exports has been raised from $0.5 to $1.5 per kilogram.

The Presidential Decision was published in the Official Gazette and became effective. In a statement from the Ministry of Trade, attention was drawn to the goals of ensuring sustainable food supply in Turkey and meeting domestic consumption at reasonable prices for citizens. It was noted that with the regulation on February 25, 2025, a deduction of 50 cents per kilogram started to be applied for table egg exports, which has now been increased to $1.5. The statement from the Ministry is as follows: “After assessing the situation following the implementation of the relevant regulation, although the application has disinflationary effects, it has been observed that upward price movements continue due to the ongoing external demand for eggs originating from our country. In order to contribute to price stability in table egg products and facilitate access for our citizens to the relevant product at reasonable prices, the deduction amount to be applied for table egg exports has been raised from $0.5 to $1.5 per kilogram by the Presidential Decision.”

– In the upcoming period, we will continue to maintain a strong cooperation and coordinated efforts with all relevant stakeholders in the public and private sectors, especially the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. We will persist in utilizing all policy and regulatory tools within our jurisdiction with determination to protect food supply and security and prevent possible speculation in food markets.
