The chapter of precious or semi-precious stones ranked first in Istanbul’s exports with 1 billion 211 million 583 thousand dollars. This category was followed by 448 million 915 thousand dollars of knitted apparel and accessories, and 425 million 994 thousand dollars of boilers, machinery. The sector with the highest foreign sales in Kocaeli was motor land vehicles with 1 billion 24 million 85 thousand dollars. The top export destination for Izmir was Germany with 183 million 185 thousand dollars. The US followed with 168 million 889 thousand dollars, and Slovenia with 111 million 653 thousand dollars.
