Inaugural Journey of the Touristic Diyarbakır Express

The Touristic Diyarbakır Express has set off for its first trip of the new season. Train services will be organized biweekly in both directions. Aimed at introducing the historical and cultural richness of Southeastern Anatolia, the Touristic Diyarbakır Express started its first journey of the season. A ceremony was held at Ankara Train Station for the inaugural journey of the express this period. Accordingly, train services will be organized biweekly in both directions. With 4 outbound and 4 return trips planned, the goal is to revitalize domestic tourism and increase intercity cultural interaction. Departing from Ankara every Friday at 13:55, the train will reach Diyarbakır after a 3-hour leisurely stop in Malatya for sightseeing purposes. On the return journey, departing from Diyarbakır at 12:30 on Sundays and arriving in Ankara after a 4-hour sightseeing stop at Yolçatı Station in Elazığ. This way, passengers will have the opportunity to see the region’s cultural heritage up close during their stops in Malatya and Yolçatı.
