Import Surveillance on Some Polyester Products

A decision has been made to implement surveillance on the import of certain polyester products. The Amendment of the Regulation on the Implementation of Import Surveillance Prepared by the Ministry of Trade was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. Accordingly, surveillance will be applied to the import of some polyester products. Import surveillance will be carried out for products categorized as “others (excluding polybutylene terephthalate, polybutylene adipate terephthalate, polybutylene succinate, polybutylene succinate terephthalate)” with a customs value set at 3.5 dollars per kilogram. Additionally, certain definition changes were made within the scope of import surveillance applied to charging stations for electric vehicles through another regulation published in the Official Gazette.
