Technology company Huawei has focused on chip production as part of China’s technology goals. The company has doubled its artificial intelligence chip production compared to last year. Huawei is enhancing its artificial intelligence chip production within China’s technology objectives. It has been reported that the company has significantly increased the quantity of advanced artificial intelligence chips it can produce in this context. According to a report in the Financial Times, Huawei has approached nearly 40% of the produced artificial intelligence chips. Thus, the technology company has doubled the quantity of artificial intelligence chips compared to last year. It has been noted that this move is an important step for Huawei, which has released Ascend 910C processors that offer better performance than the Ascend 910. Additionally, it was stated that the production line for Ascend chips has become profitable for the first time due to increased efficiency. The company is reported to aim to increase efficiency by 60% for similar chips. On the other hand, despite pressures from the US, Huawei’s move has been interpreted as an important step for China’s infrastructure development plan for artificial intelligence. The Beijing government had advised Chinese technology companies to acquire Huawei’s artificial intelligence chips and urged to stay away from Nvidia.
