How much will the retirement holiday bonus and bank promos be?

The attention of millions of retirees is focused on the potential increase in retirement bonuses. The holiday bonuses are expected to be determined by the economy management by March. Additionally, the update of bank promos for retirees’ pensions is anticipated. Here are the discussed figures. The anticipation extends to bank promos and holiday bonuses for millions of retirees. New holiday bonuses will be determined by the economic management until Ramadan Holiday. Bank promos will be finalized through a protocol between the Social Security Institution (SGK) and 19 public and private banks. An update of the promos agreement for retirees’ pensions between SGK and 19 public and private banks is expected in March. While the promos for public banks ranged from 8,000 to 12,000 lira last year, the figure increased to 21,000 lira in private banks. It is expected that by 2025, promos amounts in public banks will increase to 18,000 lira. Private banks could see this figure rise to 40,000 lira. In addition to cash payments, banks also offer extra options such as interest-free loans, credit cards, and credit deposit accounts within the promo scope. According to the current practice, retirees committing to receive their pensions from the same bank for three years can benefit from promo payments. Banks also offer different options like interest-free loans and additional accounts along with the promos. Retirees will receive holiday bonuses in March and June this year. Last year, holiday bonuses were increased to 3,000 lira, resulting in a total payment of 6,000 lira to retirees. The public has been discussing figures ranging from 3,500 to 4,000 lira regarding the bonuses for a long time. If there is a 30% increase in bonuses, it will rise to 3,900 lira. With a 35% rate, it will go up to 4,050 lira. A 40% increase will bring it to 4,200 lira. If the rate is 50%, it will elevate to 4,500 lira. Furthermore, a 15.75% increase was made to retirees in June. If the bonuses are raised by this rate, they will reach 3,472 lira. Those benefiting from the system are SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, as well as recipients of death, elderly, and disability pensions. Those who become eligible for retirement as of March 1st will also be able to receive the bonus.
