Has Nvidia Chips Been Smuggled? New Allegation regarding China

There are allegations that China has acquired Nvidia chips through illegal channels. Following an operation in Singapore, it is claimed that the banned chips were supplied through Malaysia.
Singapore is investigating whether the Dell and Super Micro servers sent to Malaysia contain prohibited Nvidia chips that may be used in China. Several individuals were arrested by the police in the country for violating US sanctions by trading Nvidia chips during a recent operation. Singapore’s Minister for Law Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam stated that there are accusations that the addresses to which the products were to be sent in Malaysia were provided incorrectly to suppliers. Shanmugam mentioned that authorities are looking into whether the servers produced by Dell and Super Micro have reached other countries or not.
Minister Shanmugam stated that Singapore has requested further information from Malaysia and the US to determine the final destination of the servers, mentioning, “There is a question of whether Malaysia is the final stop or whether it went somewhere else, which we do not currently know for certain.”
US on the Hunt for DEEPSEEK Chips! The US has started investigating whether DeepSeek’s Nvidia AI GPUs were being smuggled through Singapore. Nvidia collaborates with Dell, Super Micro, and Hewlett Packard for servers containing AI chips.
These companies sell the servers directly or through intermediaries to data center operators worldwide. Washington has been trying for years to prevent China from circumventing technology restrictions through third countries.
Singapore, still continuing the investigation, has not directly linked the case to DeepSeek or any Chinese buyers.
