Eyyüp Ergan, Chairman of the Trabzon Commodity Exchange, emphasized the importance of hazelnuts for the country and regional economy. Ergan mentioned that there are tasks to be done throughout the year for hazelnuts based on months, referred to as the “hazelnut farming calendar.” Ergan noted that producers are currently clearing weeds in their orchards and added, “After this, there will be activities related to combating hazelnut pests and fertilizing. We provide advice to both producers and members on what needs to be done in this regard.”
