The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sabancı Holding, Güler Sabancı, is leaving her post after 21 years. Hayri Çulhacı is expected to replace Güler Sabancı. Güler Sabancı will step down from her position at the ordinary general assembly on March 27. She was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sabancı Holding A.Ş. in 2004, following Sakıp Sabancı. Hayri Çulhacı is expected to fill the vacancy left by Sabancı. According to the statement, “Mr. Hayri Çulhacı has been a member of the Sabancı Group for about 35 years, serving as a member of the Executive Board of Sabancı Holding, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akbank, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Sabancı Holding and its subsidiaries. Ms. Güler Sabancı will continue her roles as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Sabancı Foundation, the Founding Chair of the Board of Trustees of Sabancı University, and the Chair of the Board of Directors of Sakıp Sabancı Museum.”
