Growth in the US came in line with expectations

The US economy grew by 2.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024, in line with expectations. Preliminary growth data for the fourth quarter in the US has been released. Accordingly, the US economy expanded by 2.3 percent in the final quarter of last year, matching expectations. The data indicated the slowest growth in the last three quarters. Growth was supported by an increase in government spending and exports. Consumer spending, on the other hand, was revised downwards. Growth had stood at 3.1 percent in the previous quarter.
