Government Support to be Stated on Invoices: Starting April 1

Subscribers will now be able to see the amount of government support applied on both electricity and natural gas bills. The implementation will commence from April 1.
Upon the instructions of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, EPDK has sent letters to distribution companies for adjustments to be made on electricity bills. BOTAŞ has also initiated work for natural gas. The work has reached its final stages and a schedule has been set.
Starting from April 1, 2025, the amount of government support to be accrued in invoices will also be included. Both the actual cost and support amount will be visible simultaneously on the bill. The amount to be paid will be stated at the bottom. This practice only applies to monthly bills of residential subscribers. Commercial properties, industrial consumers, and electricity production customers will not receive this information. As per the adjustment implemented on electricity bills from February 1, residential subscribers with monthly consumption below 417 kilowatt-hours are eligible for government support. Government support at a rate of 60% is applied in the lower tier and 40% in the higher tier for electricity. For natural gas, a government subsidy of 65% is reflected on the bill.
