Foreign investors sold bonds and stocks

Last week, foreign investors made a bond sale of $1.49 billion, marking the highest bond sale recorded to date. Simultaneously, they had an outflow of $50 million from stocks in the same week. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) published the “Weekly Securities Statistics.” According to the data, non-resident individuals abroad sold a net of $49.6 million in stocks and $1.49 billion in Government Domestic Debt Securities (DIBS) in the week of February 7, while acquiring $10.2 million in assets outside General Government Sector. The stock of stocks held by non-resident individuals abroad, which was $33.7474 billion as of January 31, decreased to $32.8655 billion in the week of February 7. During the same period, the stock of DIBS held by non-resident individuals abroad decreased from $20.1522 billion to $18.4054 billion, while the stock of other sector stocks increased from $715 million to $722.9 million.
