Five Bids for Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant

Five companies have submitted bids for the privatization tender of the Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant. The final negotiation meeting within the scope of the tender will take place on Friday.
The final negotiation meeting for the Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant and mining area tender will be held on March 7.
According to the announcement made by the Privatization Administration (PA), five companies submitted bids for the tender.
The tender announcement was published in the Official Gazette on September 17, 2024, and the deadline for final bids was revised to March 4.
The companies that submitted bids for the tender are as follows: – Ocean Gas Station Management Joint Stock Company, – Aslan Construction and Thirty Five Joint Venture Group, – DSM Technical Mining Chemical Products and Construction Joint Stock Company – Celikler Contracting Construction and Industrial Joint Stock Company – Akçadağ Construction Energy Mining Joint Stock Company
2,050 PERSONNEL REQUIREMENT
The Privatization Administration announced that an employment requirement has been introduced for the tender. Accordingly, there will be a requirement to employ a minimum of 2,050 personnel at the plant for 5 years. The announcement stated that the tender will be based on the upfront price, with no option for deferred payment. “NO ELECTRICITY PURCHASE GUARANTEE” Investors who wish to make deferred payments can pay 20% of the tender amount upfront and make the rest of the payment in 72 months.
For the amount left to be paid later, a maturity difference will be collected based on the average annual change rates of CPI/WPI. Additionally, it was indicated that there is no electricity purchase guarantee from the state in the tender.
