Final Stages of $5 Billion Deal Approaching! Dell and Musk at the Table

Reports indicate that Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence venture xAI is nearing the final stages of a $5 billion deal with Dell. According to Bloomberg, Dell will provide servers worth $5 billion to xAI for their artificial intelligence projects. The two companies are continuing negotiations and are said to be close to finalizing the agreement. As per the deal, Dell will supply servers containing Nvidia’s GB200 semiconductors to Musk’s artificial intelligence initiative. Following the news, Dell’s shares surged to almost $117 with an increase of up to 6% on Friday. The artificial intelligence venture had previously used Dell and Super Micro servers in a supercomputer project built in the state of Tennessee, USA. Dell had announced in December that tens of thousands of graphics processing units (GPUs) were utilized in the project. The computer manufacturer had reported in November that the demand for artificial intelligence servers over a three-month period amounted to $3.6 billion.
