Recently, it was discovered that the famous cheese brand Yöre Süt was engaging in deceptive advertising. According to Ekol TV news, it was revealed that the product promoted as tulum cheese on their website was actually melting cheese. During the inspection conducted by the Maltepe District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry on 10.07.2024, it was found that despite the product being promoted as “Tulum Cheese,” the product sold was actually named “Sürmene Type Melting Cheese.” Therefore, the company was fined 550,059 lira for engaging in deceptive advertising.
