Bolat emphasized the importance of ensuring that tradesmen have easier access to affordable and large-scale sources of finance. He noted that they anticipate 250 thousand tradesmen benefiting from loans this year, mentioning that the new credit limits apply to all Treasury-interest-supported loans for tradesmen. COOMERCIAL VEHICLE LOANS Bolat mentioned that in addition to zero vehicles, commercial vehicle acquisition loans now also include vehicles aged 0-5. He said, “Our tradesmen and artisans will be able to benefit from a wider range of vehicle choices with the opportunity for loans with a term of up to 48 months, limited to 2.5 million Turkish liras, and a 50% interest discount for automobile, van, truck, minibus, midibus, bus, and similar commercial vehicle purchases.” Bolat stated that 7,710 tradesmen have benefited from this loan since its implementation in 2017 until February 28, 2025, with a total financing amount of 4 billion 857 million Turkish liras. BUSINESS PREMISES ACQUISTION LOANS Minister Bolat noted that business premises acquisition loans are granted exclusively for the purchase of premises where commercial activities will take place, with tradesmen being able to benefit from this loan up to 2.5 million Turkish liras with a term of 60 months and a 50% interest discount. Bolat recalled that a total of 5,995 tradesmen benefited from this loan from its implementation in 2017 until the end of February this year, reporting that 3 billion 345 million Turkish liras of finance was provided accordingly. Bolat added that there has been a 33.3% increase in the business loan limit compared to the previous amount, and a 66.6% increase in the investment loan limit. He stated that these measures will contribute to economic growth and employment.
