Expected Amount of Retirement Bonus to Be Announced Today

The percentage increase for the retirement holiday bonus will be clarified today. It is expected that the current bonus, which is 3,000 Turkish lira, will be raised to 4,000 lira with a 33% increase.
The final decision on the increase in the holiday bonus for millions of retirees will be announced today. It is anticipated that the holiday bonus, currently at 3,000 Turkish lira, will be increased to 4,000 lira with a 33% rise. A legal regulation is required for the increase in the retirement bonus. If a decision on the percentage increase is made next week, the regulation is expected to be sent to the Presidency of the Parliament. Retirees receive bonuses for Ramadan and Eid al-Adha every year. This year, the holiday bonus will also be paid in March and June.
ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT ANALYZED 3 DIFFERENT SCENARIOS The economic management met this week to discuss the possible increase in the holiday bonus for retirees. Impact analyses were evaluated for 3 different scenarios prepared by the bureaucrats of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
Currently, the cost of the 6,000 Turkish lira bonus given to retirees for two holidays amounts to 99 billion lira. If the bonus is increased to 4,000 lira, an additional cost of 34.5 billion lira will incur. 16 MILLION RETIREES WILL BENEFIT Approximately 16 million retirees will benefit from the regulation. Those who become eligible for retirement as of March 1st will also be able to receive the holiday bonus.
