Discount Campaign at Local Markets in Istanbul

In Istanbul, markets will be keeping prices steady during the month of Ramadan. PERDER member markets will also be applying discounts of up to 25% on some products.
Local markets in Istanbul have decided to keep prices steady throughout the month of Ramadan.
The announcement was made by Faruk Güzeldere, Chairman of the Istanbul Food and Necessities Retailers Association (Istanbul PERDER). According to this, markets will be keeping prices stable on thousands of products during Ramadan, with a focus on essential food items. Some products will also have discounts of up to 25% applied. This practice will be valid until the end of Ramadan. Member markets of the association had previously decided to keep the prices of red meat steady as well. Güzeldere stated that they will protect consumers against price hikes based on opportunism. In Istanbul, there are 66 PERDER member markets and 2,700 branches.
