Departure of the Touristic Diyarbakır Express

The Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Uraloğlu, announced that the Touristic Diyarbakır Express will begin its new season with its first journey on April 11th. In a written statement, Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu revealed that the Touristic Diyarbakır Express will make a total of 8 trips from April 11 to May 25. Uraloğlu noted that the train will depart from Ankara on Fridays and from Diyarbakır on Sundays. “The inaugural journey of the Touristic Diyarbakır Express will start on April 11th, Friday. Our train will operate biweekly, with 4 trips and 4 return trips planned, stimulating domestic tourism and increasing intercity cultural interaction,” he evaluated. “A PROJECT WHERE CULTURE MEETS RAILS” Uraloğlu stated that the train departing from Ankara will have a 3-hour stop in Malatya, during which passengers can visit the historical and cultural sites of Malatya. On the return journey, the train departing from Diyarbakır will have a 4-hour stop at the Yolçatı station in Elazığ, according to Uraloğlu. “This way, passengers will have the opportunity to experience the cultural fabric of the region during stops in Malatya and Yolçatı. Touristic train services are also crucial for revitalizing regional tourism. Through these journeys, we are not only providing passengers with the opportunity to travel from one city to another, but also offering the experience of the journey itself.
