In Zonguldak, fisherman Oktay Ertürk mentioned a decrease in fish prices as the season comes to its end. Ertürk stated that they are selling red mullet for 100 lira due to abundance.

Fisherman Ertürk mentioned that the red mullet fishing continues and the price per kilogram has dropped to 100 lira, saying, “Still affordable. We sell red mullet for 70 lira, horse mackerel for 150 lira. There is currently a decrease in red mullet prices. This situation will continue for another 10-15 days, and then the season will close.”

‘WE FED PEOPLE FISH FOR FREE’

Ertürk, who closed this year’s season with affordable prices, stated, “We are grateful for this season. We fed people fish for free this season, and next year, we will feed them affordable fish too.” Fishermen added that citizens should take advantage of the opportunity to buy fish at reasonable prices in the last days of the season.
