Automotive industry main production decreased by 3% in the first month of the year to 105,397 compared to January of the previous year.

The Automotive Industry Association (OSD) announced the production data for January in the automotive industry.

Accordingly, the main production of the automotive industry in the first month of the year decreased by 3% to 105,397 compared to January of the previous year.

Car production, which saw a 1% increase from the previous year, rose to 67,795 units.

In the commercial vehicle group, there was a 9% decrease in production in January, a 51% decline in heavy commercial vehicles, and a 3% decline in light commercial vehicles.

Compared to January of the previous year, the commercial vehicle market decreased by 22%, the heavy commercial vehicle market by 38%, and the light commercial vehicle market decreased by 19%. In the first month of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports increased by 4% in terms of units, while car exports increased by 7%, with a total of 78,191 units of exports and 47,316 units of car exports. In January, the total market decreased by 15% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 70,412 units, and the car market also saw a 13% decline, totaling 55,944 units.
