Pension holiday bonuses, which are utilized by many beneficiaries including retired SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund retirees, will undergo a new review as announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan. Every year, holiday bonuses paid to retirees are received not only by SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund retirees, but also by widows and orphans receiving allowances, relatives of martyrs, veterans, and champion athletes. The review on pension holiday bonuses will be discussed this Monday (March 10th).
It is expected that bonuses will be increased to around 4,000 Turkish liras. The amount of the raise for holiday bonuses, which were raised to 3,000 liras last year by a 50% increase, has not been disclosed this year. The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, had announced that efforts were being made to increase the bonuses. Pension holiday bonus payments had begun to be transferred to retirees’ accounts a week before the holiday last year. Payments are expected to be made in the week of March 24-28 before the 2025 Eid al-Fitr. Bonuses will be transferred to accounts through the banks from which retirees receive their salaries, based on the last digit of their allocation number.
