Cost of Iftar Table Rose by 46%!

In Istanbul, the cost of the iftar table increased by 46% compared to last year. According to İstanbul Planlama Ajansı (İPA) data, the cost of basic products will exceed 10 thousand liras. The results of the Ramadan basic kitchen expenditure survey conducted by the Istanbul Planning Agency (İPA) have been released. Accordingly, in Istanbul, the kitchen expenses in 2024 Ramadan totaled 7,249 liras, while this cost rose to 10,565 liras in the preparations for the 2025 Ramadan month. The annual increase reached 45.75%. Lentils saw a price increase of 51.61%, red meat 55.10%. The increase in sunflower oil was measured at 62.28%. The highest cost difference was in coffee with 121.79%, and the lowest difference was recorded in tomato paste at 9.75%.
