Confidence in the Economy Declined in February

In February, the economic confidence index decreased by 0.5% to a value of 99.2 on a monthly basis. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) released the economic confidence index data for February. Accordingly, the index decreased by 0.5% from 99.7 in January to 99.2 in February. The consumer confidence index reached 82.1 in February, with a monthly increase of 1.4%. Meanwhile, the real sector confidence index increased by 0.2% to 102.8 during the same period. The service sector confidence index, on the other hand, decreased by 1.9% to 114.2. The retail trade sector confidence index increased by 1.6% to 116.3, while the construction sector confidence index decreased by 2.7% to 89.3.
