The Competition Authority has initiated a competition inquiry into digital platforms. Among the companies investigated are Netflix, Disney+, Exxen, Blutv, Amazon, and Gain. According to the statement from the authority, an investigation has been launched on the platform providing subscription-based video on-demand services for content such as movies and series for potentially violating Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition. The statement mentioned that the examination focuses on whether digital platforms violate the law by entering into exclusive agreements with content providers such as producers and distributors, or talent personnel like actors, directors, and screenwriters, as well as other agreements and practices that restrict competition.
