Company Activities Increased in the Euro Area

In the Eurozone, there was an increase in company activities in March. S&P Global and Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB) announced the preliminary Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data for the Eurozone in March. According to the data, the composite PMI, which was 50.2 in February, rose to 50.4 in March, reaching its highest level in the last 7 months. The manufacturing PMI, which was 47.6 in February, increased to 48.7 in March, reaching its highest level in the last 26 months. However, the service sector PMI dropped from 50.6 to 50.4 during this period. In PMI data, a level above 50 indicates sectoral growth, while a level below indicates contraction. The data revealed that total activities increased with the revival in production in the Eurozone.
