Corporate tax payers can submit their 2024 tax returns between April 1st and 30th. The declaration period has started for capital companies, cooperatives, economic public enterprises, economic enterprises belonging to associations or foundations, and partnerships subject to corporate tax. Taxpayers can declare their 2024 corporate tax by the end of April. Corporate tax is also due to be paid between April 1st and 30th. Companies with special accounting periods must pay their taxes by the end of the month following the submission of their returns. Taxes can be paid to the Revenue Administration’s (RA) website “gib.gov.tr”, Digital Tax Office, and RA mobile application, as well as through affiliated banks’ credit/debit cards or accounts, and foreign banks’ cards. Payment can also be made through affiliated banks’ branches, online, by phone, mobile banking, and at PTT branches. COMPATIBLE TAXPAYERS RECEIVE A 5% DISCOUNT Information and documents such as balance sheets, income statements, business account summaries, taxes paid by deduction, profits in free zones, venture capital and technopark capital supports, taxes paid abroad, basic financial statements, and notifications regarding corporate partners and board members need to be attached to the tax returns. It is important to provide information and documents regarding discounts and exemptions such as R&D, design, cash capital increase, and intellectual property rights exceptions with the tax return. Corporate tax payers (excluding those in the finance and banking sectors, insurance and reinsurance companies, pension companies, and pension investment funds) meeting specific criteria are eligible for a 5% discount on the tax calculated based on their returns. To qualify for the discount, the taxes for the year of the tax return and the previous two years must have been paid within the legal time frame and there should be no outstanding debts.
