IS THERE A REDUCTION IN PETROL AND DIESEL PRICES? Following the 2 lira 6 kuruş reduction in petrol prices last night, a change is expected in diesel prices as well. Accordingly, as of March 8, 2025 (midnight), there will be a reduction of 1 lira 35 kuruş in diesel prices.

Diesel is being sold at 46.65 lira per liter in Istanbul. The price per liter of petrol is around 43.31.

HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED? In Turkey, when calculating petrol and diesel prices; the Refinery selling price excluding VAT is determined by adding the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) and Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) shares to the Duty-Free Refinery Price. When calculating the Duty-Free Refinery Price, daily CIF Mediterranean product prices and the daily Dollar exchange rate are monitored in the Mediterranean-Italian market to obtain a duty-free refinery maximum selling price with a certain price differential.
