Closure of Kent Restaurants in Şişli? Statement on Allegations Regarding Kent Restaurants

Allegations that the trustee administration in Şişli decided to close Kent Restaurants were denied. The municipality announced that three restaurants will reopen after their needs are met. A statement was made regarding the claim that the trustee administration in Şişli Municipality decided to close Kent Restaurants featured in some media outlets. The statement from the Disinformation Combating Center (DCC) included the following remarks: “There has been no decision by Şişli District Governor and Acting Mayor Cevdet Ertürkmen to take such a step. All municipal activities in Şişli, including Kent Restaurants, continue in line with the public interest. Please do not give credence to baseless allegations aimed at manipulating public opinion.”

The statement highlighted that three Kent Restaurants in Şişli will continue to operate once their supply needs are met. The statement from the municipality included the following lines: “There is absolutely no directive from Şişli Acting Mayor Cevdet Ertürkmen for the closure of Kent Restaurants in Şişli. There are a total of three Kent Restaurants in Şişli, two fixed and one mobile. These restaurants were closed as their supply processes were completed starting on March 19. Acting Mayor Cevdet Ertürkmen, who took office on March 24, has instructed for the reopening of the Kent Restaurants. After their supply needs are met, all three restaurants will continue to serve the people of Şişli. There are plans to increase the number of Kent Restaurants in the medium term. We kindly urge our citizens not to believe in the sensationalism of reporting that Kent Restaurants have been closed.”
