Central Bank reserves declined from peak

Last week, the Central Bank reserves decreased by $3.157 billion to $169.995 billion.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced weekly money and banking statistics. As of February 21, the CBRT’s gross foreign exchange reserves fell to $97.698 billion, a decrease of $2.979 billion.
Gross foreign exchange reserves were at $100.677 billion on February 14.
During this period, gold reserves also decreased by $178 million from $72.475 billion to $72.297 billion. Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank decreased from $173.152 billion to $169.995 billion in the week of February 21, representing a decrease of $3.157 billion compared to the previous week.
