Call for a special electricity tariff for tradesmen

The President of TESK, Palandöken, stated the need for a special tariff for tradesmen in electricity bills. Bendevi Palandöken, the President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK), emphasized the importance of energy efficiency and saving for our country. He said, “Therefore, it seems quite impossible to save electricity used in the refrigerator, cold drinks in the fridge, or in industry. It is difficult to reduce the street lighting or the electricity used in shop windows.” Palandöken also noted that even with the use of energy-efficient devices, high costs are inevitable. He emphasized the need for a new arrangement to reduce electricity prices for traders, craftsmen, and households. He added, “This step is important to prevent fueling inflation.” Palandöken called for the application of old tariffs for a certain period.
