In addition to retirees, widows and orphans benefiting from holiday bonuses will also be eligible. The work related to the holiday bonus affecting approximately 16.5 million retirees will start shortly. Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, stated, “We will work on the retirees’ holiday bonuses.” Social Security Institution, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund retirees were recently given a 50% increase in holiday bonuses, raising it to 3,000 liras. Last year, retirees received a total of 6,000 liras in holiday bonuses during Eid al-Adha and Ramadan.
