The flight tests of Turkey’s first domestically developed unmanned combat aerial vehicle, Bayraktar KIZILELMA, are progressing successfully.

Developed solely from domestic resources by Baykar, the Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which will serve as our country’s first unmanned combat aerial vehicle, is continuing its development process according to the planned test schedule. AERODYNAMIC SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION TEST

Fully developed by Baykar’s domestic resources, Bayraktar KIZILELMA passed the Aerodynamic System Identification Test successfully. Taking off from the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu, Tekirdağ, the production prototype PT3 of Bayraktar KIZILELMA conducted a mid-altitude flight for 53 minutes, successfully completing the necessary aerodynamic system identification tests during this flight.

STRONGER, MORE AGILE Development activities for Bayraktar KIZILELMA continue according to the planned schedule. Based on the experiences gained from the initial prototypes, significant changes were made to the production prototype. Structural improvements and enhancements to avionic architecture were implemented.

The flight was successfully carried out with the integrated afterburning engine alternative. With its powerful new engine, Bayraktar KIZILELMA, approaching the speed of sound, will be able to maneuver much better at high speeds thanks to aerodynamic improvements.

With its AESA radar, it can execute the most challenging missions thanks to its high situational awareness. FLEW IN RECORD TIME Baykar’s project Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which began in 2021 with 100% domestic capital, was completed on November 14, 2022. The Bayraktar KIZILELMA, with tail number TC-ÖZB, which came off the production line, was transferred to the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu.

After successfully completing ground tests swiftly, it made its first flight on December 14, 2022. Bayraktar KIZILELMA met the sky in record time, about a year. ACHIEVED FIRSTS IN AVIATION HISTORY Bayraktar KIZILELMA made unprecedented flights in world aviation history throughout TEKNOFEST 2023. Performing formation flights with Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, Bayraktar KIZILELMA executed fleet flying with Turkish Stars, SOLOTÜRK F-16 warplane, and F-5 jet aircraft in the skies of Istanbul on May 1, 2023. These flight concepts that are a turning point in world aviation history will shape the future of aerial combat.

EXPORT CHAMPION Baykar, which has been running all its projects solely with its domestic resources since its inception, has obtained 83% of its income from exports since the beginning of the UAV R&D process in 2003.
