Solarz highlighted that there are three main categories of crypto hedge funds: venture funds, liquid directional funds, and liquid market-neutral funds. He mentioned that when evaluating funds for investment, he places great importance on the managers’ investment processes and risk management. Solarz also explained how market-neutral strategies and arbitrage opportunities are still profitable, allowing institutional investors to generate returns independently of market volatility.

Solarz raised concerns about the fate of cryptocurrencies, foreseeing that 99.99% of the roughly 40 million tokens in the crypto ecosystem will become worthless in the long term. He pointed out that the market lacks a broad retail investor base, with perceiving a near-future bull market for altcoins as unlikely. Additionally, Solarz discussed the potential of the liquid token market, estimating its size at around $30 billion and suggesting that significant returns are achievable for large investors in this segment.

In conclusion, Solarz speculated that the full integration of the crypto market with the rest of the finance sector is inevitable. He anticipated a time when people will no longer discuss crypto as a separate asset class once Bitcoin’s market value reaches that of gold.
