Alphabet’s $32 billion acquisition

Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is set to acquire cloud security company Wiz for $32 billion in cash. This acquisition marks Alphabet’s largest investment in the cybersecurity sector to date, aimed at strengthening its position in the cloud computing market where it competes with Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. By incorporating Wiz’s AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, companies can eliminate significant risks using the technology provided by Wiz. Last year, Alphabet offered approximately $23 billion to acquire Wiz, but the deal was canceled due to concerns about antitrust issues.
