Agricultural PPI rose by 2.7% in February

The Agricultural Producer Price Index (PPI) increased by 2.7% in February compared to the previous month, and it rose by 29.89% compared to the same month last year. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) released the Agricultural PPI data for February. The index showed a 2.7% increase compared to the previous month, a 5.52% increase compared to December of last year, a 29.89% increase compared to the same month last year, and a 42.6% increase compared to the 12-month averages. Looking at changes compared to the previous month in sectors, there was a 2.49% increase in agriculture and hunting products and related services, a 6.8% increase in forestry products and related services, and a 5.2% increase in fish and other fishing products, aquatic products, and supportive services for fishing. In main groups, there was a 0.61% increase in annual (non-perennial) plant products, a 5.93% increase in livestock and animal products, while there was a 1.79% decrease in perennial plant products. The sub-group with the highest annual change was citrus fruits with a 166.37% increase, and the sub-group with the highest monthly change was tropical and subtropical fruits with a 13.95% increase.
