Central Bank Reserves Decreased

The reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 6.773 billion dollars last week, reaching 147.488 billion dollars. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) released its weekly money and banking statistics. As of April 11, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by 9.831 billion dollars to 68.007 billion dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 77.838 billion dollars on April 4. During this period, gold reserves increased by 3.060 billion dollars, rising from 76.422 billion dollars to 79.482 billion dollars. Therefore, the total reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 6.773 billion dollars from 154.261 billion dollars to 147.488 billion dollars in the week ending April 11 compared to the previous week.
