Pistachio exports reached $59.7 million in the first quarter of the year

In the first three months of the year, Turkey exported $59,759,000 worth of pistachios to 66 countries. Pistachios, which receive great interest from farmers due to the high economic gains they provide and their wide range of uses, are mainly produced in 22 cities in Turkey, especially in Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep. According to data compiled from the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Associations, a total of $229,777,000 worth of pistachios were exported to 96 countries in 2024. In the January-March period of this year, $59,759,000 in revenue was obtained from pistachio exports to 66 countries. Italy is at the forefront of the countries to which Turkey exports pistachios the most. In the first quarter of this year, $18,546,000 worth of pistachios were sold from Turkey to Italy. Following Italy in pistachio exports are Germany with $11,556,000 and Kazakhstan with $3,575,000.
