Warning from Experts about Tire Casing Danger in Traffic

Following inspections, the Ministry of Industry and Technology had decided to recall some products posing safety risks from the market. The list includes nine tire casing companies. Experts are highlighting the potential danger of tire casings in traffic.
When a worn tire is renewed, it is turned into a casings tire. A casing tire can be reused without losing any of its performance. It is usually preferred in trucks and passenger buses due to its affordability. However, experts believe this preference can pose a danger. Automotive writer Turgut Yüksekdağ stated, “I think this type of tire should not be used in vehicles providing traction power to wheels on buses and heavy vehicles. Because tires are objects that connect us to the road, they need to have the necessary tread depths at all times.”
“SHOULD NOT BE USED IN BUSES”
Despite all risks, if casing tires are going to be used, Yüksekdağ cautioned that there are still points to pay attention to. He said, “There are some regulations that require this to be done legally, but especially it should not be used in buses. It should not be used on the front tires providing traction power on trucks. They can be used on rear sides, trailers, etc. But they need to be prepared in places where the necessary certifications are provided.” The Ministry of Industry and Technology conducted inspections in the first three months of the year. Products of some brands that do not comply with technical regulations and pose safety risks were decided to be recalled from the market. The list includes nine tire casing companies.
