Initially, the BIST 100 index dropped to 9,606.37 points, showing a decrease of 53.10 points and 0.55% compared to the previous closing. The banking index lost 0.54%, while the holding index lost 0.65%. Among the sector indices, sports gained the most at 1.79%, while financial leasing and factoring lost the most at 0.83%. On the last trading day before the Ramadan holiday in the domestic market last Friday, the Istanbul Stock Exchange showed a trend dominated by buying, with the BIST 100 index closing the day at 9,659.48 points, gaining 0.49%. Global markets are experiencing a mixed trend due to the ongoing uncertainties related to the tariffs expected to be announced by US President Donald Trump today. Analysts expressed that today, the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) in the domestic market, and the ADP private sector employment in the US and a speech by European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde in the Eurozone would be monitored. They also noted that technically, the support levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,600 and 9,500 points, with resistance levels at 9,750 and 9,850.
